What started as a revision of the multi-year maintenance plan has led to a major maintenance project with great collaborations between local parties: Winkelstichting Plein 1945, Scholz Groep and Menger Bouw.

Winkelstichting Plein 1945 initially asked Intures to revise the multi-year maintenance plan, which led to additional request for advice. The recommendations concerned extra inspections to be carried out on window frames, balconies & roof construction / dormers. These recommendations resulted in additional works to be included in the maintenance plan. The construction work started late 2019, after Intures took care of the tendering phase and awarded the contract.

The multi-year maintenance plan dates from 2014. Because this was an older document, we carried out an inspection to check all the things from the maintenance plan. The purpose of this inspection was to investigate whether certain items from the maintenance report had to be carried out earlier than initially planned. In addition, we have given advice with regards to sustainability due to expected laws and regulations in the (near) future. Based on the inspection and the advice, a final scope was determined together with the client.

These activities included: renewing roofs with an increased RC value & renewing the roof tiles, gutters, joints, balcony coatings and painting as well as the roof covering and terrace tiles of the terraces at the rear.

Winkelstichting Plein 1945 was created to restore IJmuiden after the destruction of the Second World War. As a client, Winkelstichting Plein 1945 attaches great importance to local collaborations. This resulted in a great collaboration between the scholz Group, Menger Bouw, Intures and of course the client.

Intures has been involved in this process in: drawing up a multi-year plan, scope determination, tender documents, tender guidance, assignment formation, quality assurance, support management and ultimately cost control.
