Intures has been asked by the municipality of Amstelveen/Aalsmeer to scan a building with a surface area of 13,000 m² on the ground floor and 2,100 m² on the upper floors, which is now used for various purposes.

It is a monumental building from 1920 which was previously used as a flower auction. Over the course of its use, the building has been subject to many renovations, additions and extensions.

As a pilot, to find out whether BIM has added value, the building was scanned to find out what materials the building consists of and the quantity of materials. To date, there were few drawings of the building and critical information was missing from this drawing.

The resulting as-built drawings provide information for future applications: asbestos inventories, fire safety purposes and maintenance plans.
