Intures started a project this week that involves renovating a crane track structure of considerable size. For this project, Intures will be responsible for construction management, safety and quality supervision. The crane track will be renovated in several phases.

Intures was approached by the client to provide support with project management and supervision during the replacement of the crane rails for a crane track of more than 400 meters in size. In total, just over 800 meters of rails will be replaced. In addition, the crane wheels of three overhead cranes will be replaced and the cranes and crane tracks will be aligned.

To determine the size of the scope and the required maintenance activities, Intures carried out an additional maintenance inspection so that this could be properly determined and tendered to a contractor.

Replacing the crane track is carried out during a factory shutdown. What is extra special is that this factory hall is used by several work units and normally (almost) never stands still. For 4 weeks, from the beginning of week 33 to the end of week 36, Intures will be on site with four people to ensure the project runs smoothly.

This project will involve close collaboration with, for example, the Iemants company. Intures has had successful collaborations with this company before. Furthermore, the cranes are provided by Mammoet, scaffolding work is done by Brand, Riwal for accessibility with aerial platforms and Bemo Rail carries out the welding work on the crane rails.
