With a team of no less than 11 inspectors, Intures inspected the crane track construction of a loading hall during the annual standstill.

In the context of compliance, crane tracks must be subjected to an annual inspection in which defects such as cracking, corrosion and loose bolted connections are identified and possibly immediately repaired. On the basis of a non-destructive testing (NDT), our inspectors check the various crane track construction parts. Cracks and/or deviations in the material are then accurately measured by means of “Alternating Current Field Measurement” (ACFM). The advantage of this relatively fast electromagnetic measurement method is that the material surface does not have to be cleaned in advance so that a shorter production stoppage is required.

Complete insight thanks to digital inspection platform Mainvisio

The inspection results used to be registered on paper. This time however they were digitally registered on our inspection platform Mainvisio. The inspection data are thereby available for further analysis and future management of maintenance activities. This way we provide the client with a complete overview of current defects, just a few clicks away.
