For the renovation of crane tracks Intures provided construction management and assembly coordination on behalf of a client.

Even before the renovation started, Intures was called in. In the preliminary phase, we carried out integrity and residual life inspections. The defects that emerged from these inspections were then translated into repair plans.

This project was carried out during a factory shutdown, which is not a common occurence. Work is carried out at this location 24/7.

The renovation scope revealed steel construction and conservation work. The company Iemants took care of the steel construction work during this renovation. This work consisted of: replacing the rails, the DYWIDAG anchors and wear plates. In addition, part of the crane track has been blasted and re-preserved and other defects have been repaired. The Bilfinger company was responsible for the conservation work.

Due to the nature of the work, a lot of coordination was needed with all parties involved. In order to make this process, with the various activities, as efficient as possible, a phased planning was chosen. The steel construction work was first carried out. Subsequently, scaffolding work was scheduled. Finally, the conservation work was carried out.
