During the annual overhaul of this Hot strip mill, Intures was responsible for safety and assembly coordination for the revision of the roller conveyor and the cooling water pumping station.
Roller conveyor 29 / Oven 22
The roller conveyor was stripped down to the foundation for renovation: the roller tables, seats, removal fingers and rack and pinion boxes were all removed. For the renovation of the concrete foundations, the old anchors were removed and new anchors were installed. After the renovation of the concrete bases, the chairs, roller tables with rollers and removable fingers/rack and pinion boxes were reinstalled.
Cooling water pump station 4
Intures was also involved with the safety supervision and assembly coordination for Cooling Water Pump Station 4 . This station 4 provides the cooling water for the pre-rollers of the Hot strip mill. At this pumping station, a cooling water pipe with a diameter of 1.6 meters was to be dismantled and removed. A bit of a challenge given the fact that the pipeline is 15 meters long and weighs approximately 22 tons. A new cooling water pipe has been installed in its place.
